Mac OS X shows file icon for pictures instead of a thumbnail
I’ve always found it annoying that the Mac only shows me the file icon for photo files like JPEGs and not a thumbnail. Thanks to a mention from a friend last night, I found out it’s actually an option that they strangely default to off.
You can turn it on here:
Finder -> View -> Show View Options -> set Show Icon Preview to checked
So happy to have that back; it was a feature I sorely missed from Windows.
