I Know The Guy Who Owns This Place

We updated the Redfin.com website today to switch to Google Maps. We value speed in everything we build and this decision was based on the same. You can check out more in Sasha’s dev blog post. The most amazing thing to me was how fast the site now runs on Safari. In my three years there, I’ve never seen our maps load 500 listings so fast.

All the cool work we’ve done at the neighborhood level also now shines to all searchers with the new neighborhood stats on the map. It’ll be interesting to see how that changes traffic to those neighborhood pages. Our hope is that it makes smarter buyer and sellers who really know what’s going on in the market they are shopping.
